Organizational Leadership Program PDF Print E-mail
Students will engage in intense hands-on examination of leadership theory and practice pertaining to a range of issues that are fundamental to the successful operation of organizations.  For most students, optimal interaction with this program of study happens within a focused internship equivalent in length to two academic semesters.  Students already working in an organization may use their current job as the learning context.  This laboratory approach allows students to learn the concepts and skills of leading organziations from within an applied environment and role.  The Organizational Leadership program is designed to provide up to 21 credit hours of graduate level coursework.  The program is designed with maximum flexibility to accommodate the specific needs of individual students.

The Organizational Leadership program is designed with considerable flexibility to match the varying demands and opportunities presented by two specific groups of graduate students:

  1. Recent college graduates looking to pursue their education in the context of an internship environment being mentored by accomplished professionals.
  2. Individuals already involved in organizational roles (ministry or secular) desiring to enhance their effectiveness through mentored study directly related to their organizational environment.

  1. Exercise of leadership that encourages and facilitates collaborative learning at all levels of the organization.
  2. Application of a solid understanding of ministry organizations that creates and maintains a productive community of learners.
  3. Development of comprehensive organizational strategies using skills in evaluation, adaptation and integration of new and existing strategies for efficient and effective pursuit of organizational goals.
